Want a job in construction or civil construction?

Australian Trade Training College is running a 4 Week program designed to build skills and understanding of the Construction and Civil. Your Trade Your Way is a First Nations only program that provides participants with the foundations to enter the industry with technical training and employability skills.

Activity commencement:

• Tranche 3 start date: 03/02/25

Activity conclusion

• Tranche 3 end date: 28/02/2025

Course includes

• Meet the employers at their workplaces and see the jobs available on a bus tour
• Support and funding available to work towards obtaining your drivers license
• Includes my driving school and 5 x 1hr driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor
• An individualised employment pathway plan including ongoing mentoring and support
• Hands-on practical skills using hand and power tools
• “This Works” Health and Employment Program
• Designed to assist job seekers to find and sustain work, teaching self-efficacy and resilience to support the transition to the workforce
• Includes my driving school and 5 x 1hr driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor

Accredited Units

• RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
• CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
• RIIRIS301E Apply risk management processes
• TLID0020 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods
• CPCCCM2005 Use construction tools and equipment

Eligibility

• Cohort: First Nations Participants only
• White card or willing to obtain
• Cohort: Youth, Under 24 years of age
• Has a learner’s license or willing to obtain
• PPE Required: Steel-capped boots
