Want a job in manufacturing? Australian Trade Training College are running a 4 Week program designed to build skills and understanding of the Engineering and Manufacturing industry.
Engineer Your Career provides participants with the foundations to enter industry with technical training and employability skills.

  • Meet the employers at their workplaces and see the jobs available on a bus tour
  • Support and funding available to work towards obtaining your drivers license
– includes my drive school and 5 x 1hr driving lessons with an accredited
driving instructor
  • An individualised employment pathway plan including ongoing mentoring and support
  • Hands on practical skills using hand and power tools including welding
  • This Works” Health and Employment Program – designed to assist job seekers to find and sustain work, teaching self-efficacy and
resilience to support the transition to the workforce

  • MEM13015 Work safely and effectively in manufacturing and engineering
  • MEM16006 Organise and communicate information
  • MEM11011 Undertake manual handling
  • MEM18001 Use hand tools
  • MEM18002 User power tools/handheld operations
  • MEMPE002 Use electric welding machines

Activity commencement

  • Tranche 1 start date: 22/07/24
  • Tranche 2 start date: 07/10/24
  • Tranche 3 start date: 20/01/25

Activity conclusion

  • Tranche 1 end date: 16/08/2024
  • Tranche 2 end date: 01/11/2024
  • Tranche 3 end date: 14/02/2025

Eligibility

  • Registered with Workforce Australia Employment Service Provider
  • White card or willing to obtain on 15/07/2024 at 8am (Cost:$100)
  • Cohort: Women, Youth, Under 24 years of age or First Nations participants only
  • Has a learner’s license or willing to obtain
  • PPE Required: Steel capped boots
