Licensed outcome
Competency development activities in this qualification are subject to regulations directly related to licensing. Where a licence or permit to practice is not held, a relevant contract of training through an Australian Apprenticeship, may be required. To obtain an Unrestricted Electrician’s Licence in most jurisdictions the qualification must be completed as an apprenticeship or Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) pathway. Where required for Licencing, the certification documentation issued must indicate if the qualification was completed as an apprenticeship or Trades Recognition Australia (TRA) pathway.

Physical Requirements & Limitations for Training and Assessment
Some units of competency within this training program may involve physical activities, such as heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, or operating machinery, which may present challenges for individuals with physical limitations.
Students are encouraged to discuss any physical limitations or specific needs with our support team prior to enrolment so that reasonable adjustments can be considered to support their participation in the training program while maintaining the integrity of assessment outcomes.
As part of the enrolment process, you will need to undertake a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) and Digital Literacy indicator Assessment. This assessment is used for reviewing your suitability for this course.

Work placement arrangements
Capstone
For the unit UEEEL0039 Design, install and verify compliance and functionality of general electrical installations, delivered in Stage 4, apprentices will be required to undertake their final Electrical Assessment (Capstone). Capstone is completed onsite at Banyo Campus, and students will be scheduled for one (1) weeks attendance (5 days total). Apprentices will be scheduled tutorial days throughout the year which generally occur one week prior to the Capstone. All parties will receive a Capstone Training Notice once the apprentice has been deemed capstone ready.

Career Start Program
The Career Start Program provides individuals with the skills and support to start their career. The program provides training to help individuals find a job and supports those already employed to move into more skilled roles or full-time employment, including after completing an apprenticeship or traineeship. Career Start offers either a general training pathway or employment-based apprenticeship or traineeship pathway.

Course Outcome
Students who are deemed competent in all units of competency will receive a Qualification and Students who are deemed competent in some units of competency only within this course will receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised. The Qualification or Statement is issued by Australian Trade Training College (RTO 31399)
